Tumblr Wars: The first ever Tumblr War

Two comedians compete to create an entirely new Tumblr and see who can get the most followers (or reblogs)* in a month.

All Your Internet… - Launch Night - Thursday February 7th

I’m very pleased to announce the first ever ALL YOUR INTERNET ARE BELONG TO US (yep, it’s about the internet so it deserves to be in CAPS LOCK). A.Y.I.A.B.T.U. (already regretting such a long name) is a night of the world’s best digital comedy.

Digital comedy! What’s that? It’s a genre I invented. Isn’t that a bit pretentious? Why thank you.

Each month we’ll bring you awesome comedians doing hilarity that is tech and web enabled, and the first line up is a bloody belter:

  • John Luke Roberts - Creator of legendary night Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, also on BBC This, BBC That, and BBC the Other. * * * *, Timeout.
  • Lee Kern - Creator, director and presenter of E4’s Celebrity Bedlam. Film maker. Man.
  • Bec Hill - person, punster, funster. * * * *, The Scotsman
  • Rachel Stubbings - like a person, mordant, not fun (actually really fun)
  • Nish Kumar - Average height and build. Massive fingernails (has been on BBC3) * * * *, The Scotsman
  • Barnaby Slater - Physical freak. Tender lover. Winner Comedy Cafe New Act of Year

These guys will be pushing the boundaries of techomedy (I am on fire with genres today), so if a joke doesn’t work don’t worry - IT’S STILL IN BETA.

Webby funnies on the first Thursday of every month in Pub on The Park in Hackney (Map). Doors: 7.30 pm. Start: 8 pm. Tickets: £5. Why not click ‘Yes’ on the Facebook event (and then don’t turn up)?

See you there, Internet Cowboy.
